Nava Mau lived like a man till she reached college. 31 years old Nava identified herself as gay when she was in college. When she was a child, she did not have enough courage and knowledge to under her gender identity. She decided to transform to be more feminine with hormonal surgery and start her career as an actress and filmmaker.
Nava Mau shared her picture when she was in her teenage. She became more confident after going to college and exploring the support from LGBT+ and queer community.
